BASE Abuse Training

Hello Volunteers!
Safety and the safety of your children are the utmost priority for Southport Little League. Starting with the 2024 season, there are two key enhancements to our Child Protection Program to help in our continued evolution and commitment to player safety.

Little League Baseball and Softball have always strived to create a safe and healthy environment for all Little Leaguers and their families. There are certain requirements from the SafeSport Act that Little League International and all local little league programs must adhere to. One of those requirements from the SafeSport Act is BASE Abuse Awareness Training. As a volunteer for Southport Little League, you MUST complete the training before you are allowed to assist in any area on our grounds. If you have already completed the training, you may disregard this email.

You MUST complete the videos and quiz before you will be approved as a volunteer.

Little League® is for everyone, and all children and families should be able to fully enjoy their Little League experience on and off the field. To help bring that fun, community-based opportunity to children, it is paramount that we keep the safety and well-being of our Little Leaguers® at the forefront of all that we do.
